Gurnam's journey in the music industry started with the release of his debut song "Heer Jehiyan Kudian" in 2014. He gained popularity after the success of his songs "Rakhli Pyar Nal" in 2016 and "Driver" in 2017. However, it was his song "Diamond" featuring Roopi Gill that made him a household name. The song was released on 10th January 2018, and its popularity skyrocketed with more than 500 million views to date. The song was written by Vicky Dhaliwal.

Apart from singing, Gurnam has also participated in reality shows, such as "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa" and won Awaaz Punjab Di Season 5. In addition, he has also ventured into acting, with his debut as a guest appearance in the film "Afsar" in 2018, and later in "High-End Yaariyaan" in 2019.
